Océ announces small footprint multifunction colour printer

Océ has unveiled the ColorWave 300, a brand new two roll multifunction inkjet printer designed for production-level colour linework, occasional photo output and mixed line and image documents. The new device is being targeted at organisations that typically have one printer for monochrome prints and another for colour output, said Océ.

A sister product to the monochrome Plotwave 300, Océ believes the ColorWave 300 stands out from the competition because of its compact single footprint design and which includes both printer, scanner and stacking functionality. The design also includes an integrated colour control panel, which features standard templates for simple scan and copy operation.

Quoted print speeds for A0 draft quality are 20 secs for monochrome and 40 secs for colour linework. Océ says ink cartridges can be changed on the fly and new media loaded without interrupting print jobs.

Like the monochrome PlotWave 300, the ColorWave 300 enables users to print from, or scan to, a USB memory stick, supporting a number of formats including TIF and PDF.

List prices for the two roll multifunction printer/scanner start at €18,950. An optional top delivery tray, which can stack up to 50 drawings, will cost an additional €2,500.
